Imperial was named in honour of the Royal House, being founded in 1897, the year of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee. This regal affiliation didn’t prevent multiple closures over the next century and, just three years before it was mothballed for good in 1998, the spirit in this expression was distilled, going on to spend its entire life in American oak.

Tasting Notes
The nose offers a delicate balance of honey, spice and tropical fruit that segues into grapes before turning into raisins on the palate, accompanied by a complex mix of milk chocolate and orange. The fruitiness prevails in a long, creamy finish, ever so subtly influenced by light peppers.
Pairing Suggestions
A toasted hot cross bun with a delicate layer of slightly salted butter and marmalade pairs beautifully, or just go for milk chocolate infused with fresh orange zest.
